In order to meet the needs of educational courses the Institute created a permanently ‘open’ Instructors’ Register (the relevant provisions were published in Government Gazette vol. II 5093/4-11-2021). Some 220 instructors have been inscribed in the Register, many of whom are either eminent tenured academics in Greece or experienced and highly capable members of staff serving in Holy Dioceses and Church Departments. This process foregrounded the high quality of several associates and holders of Church posts and significantly enhanced the educational work of the Institute.
With the purpose of further improving the educational courses on offer and monitoring their progress, it was deemed necessary to establish an additional Register, that of Coordinators. The Coordinators are selected and appointed by the Institute to provide support in the process of devising, organising and conducting training courses and to coordinate teaching methods and the realisation of the courses. Moreover, the coordinators received full training from IPE on the methods and technical aspects of synchronous distance learning, as well as further specialised instruction in the use of asynchronous learning platforms, through which trainees will access the educational materials on offer at time that suits them. The materials include pre-recorded lectures by Instructors affiliated with the Institute, slides, video clips, music, etc.
